The goal of the Military Design Challenge is to encourage students to value their education and creativity by challenging them to solve interesting real-world problems.
The Military Design Challenge is offered to high school seniors. Applicants compete to design the best possible solution to a problem that soldiers face, and the winning submission is picked by an active duty or retired soldier with experience in the field.
If you think you have a viable solution to one of the scenarios below, then show us your idea and write a short essay about it for a chance to win $500 of transitional money to help you pursue your educational or service dreams
Scenario 1 - Physical Security
How do we keep doors closed? Locks are not always enough to prevent entrance into a room or building.. Can you keep police, soldiers, and civilians safe with a more effective way to keep doors closed?

Scenario 2 - Medical Care
How do we stop bleeding? Whether from an automobile accident or a gunshot, wounds to the arms and legs can cause life threatening bleeding. Can create a better way to stop bleeding and save lives?
